We had an uneventful stay in the hospital and were discharged on Sunday. We could have stayed an additional day, but I was very ready to get home to Emily and Greg and my own comfy bed. Grandy and Poppy came and surprised me at the hospital on Friday and then Grandma and Grandpa arrived on Saturday to help us out (they were scheduled to come on Sunday or Monday, but fortunately were able to arrive a little quicker). When we came home, Nick was 5 pounds 13 ounces. His pediatrician had debated the day before about whether she would let us come home on Sunday because she was worried about Nick's weight loss, but he stayed at the same weight for 24 hours, so she was happy that he hadn't lost anymore. She also checked his jaundice levels a few times and was initially concerned with those, but they came down nicely once my milk started coming in. With those 2 things in the clear, we were able to go home.
